Buggies and torches

Today I learned the hard way that running cross-country with a 3-wheeler buggy is not a good idea.  I wanted to go for a nice long run on Sunday and my partner suggested that I take our 1 year old in the buggy good idea I thought, that is until I hit the first hill and my legs felt as if was on mile 49 on the TM.  Next problem I hadn’t thought about was stiles.  Trying to lift him and the buggy over stiles was a sight to see.  I think that next time ill stick to the roads.

Back in work today and I was out a 0630 jogging round my usual route nice to not have to push my boy and nice to relax before my days work.  My unit has returned from Afghanistan so this week is going to be extra busy until they go on their well-deserved post tour leave.  I also did my first night run to get myself back into running in the dark with a head torch on, hard work but worth it something that I did for my last meander and found that it helped a lot.  Still weird though, it’s like running in a tunnel except you have to worry about the terrain that you’re running on.

Hi pouring with rain to day so Im glad that I did 2 runs yesterday; I might go out later or first thing tomorrow.  Depends on how guilty I feel later and if I can get away this afternoon during daylight.

Keep on running.
