Paddy,
I have sent in my entry form. Hopefully there will be three of us from Sweden on the starting line. On of them - Christan Ritella - is two time Sparthalon finisher and could be a candidate to win the GUCR.

Patrick..........
Will see you at the TM in Feb, doing the Tring to Town which is useful as part of the route. Check out GUCR 08 on the runners world forum as some of the guys get together to various parts of the race about April time. Entries now being taken so you need to post the cheque straight away if not done already as fills up quickly. Good luck with the training(plodding) and stay injury free.

Thanks a lot for the encouragement. A real achievement indead to go from 26 miles to 145 miles in one shot. I will do the Thames Meander in Feb, a standard marathon in late March and a 50 km race in early May as preparation.

Patrick.........

I completed the GUCR this year and had never run beyond 26.2 miles. Didnt bother with mega long training runs, just lots of back to back runs between 14 & 18 miles. Entering next year but will have longer runs under my belt as got the ultra bug. Longer recovery required though!!!!!
